We met Sergio and asked him some questions about his passion for online poker.

I was hoping that we would join later, after being ejected from the tournament. One would have to wait long! In fact he ended up at the final table of a tournament of more than 800 players. So I wanted to ask him some questions about the conduct of this tournament on himself and poker.

How long do you play poker?

Since I was a young person, but I learned Texas Holdem only a few months ago. I played a lot on Stud Poker Party last winter, I moved to Texas Holdem in February-March.

How much time do you spend on the tables each week?

I do about four or five tournaments every single week, plus a multi-table tournament. In addition, to a cash game on Wednesday night.

What is the preferred variant of poker?

Texas Holdem No Limit, also known as Frances Las Vegas without limit.

Do you also play poker outside of the Internet?

For five or six years when I was a student, I use to take part each week, but I have never resurfaced. Ive never played in a casino. I hope also to experience it one of these days, when on holiday in Las Vegas. But it is not foreseen in the short term.

What is your favorite online poker room?

Party Poker is, without hesitation.

Do you read books and study poker seriously?

I am serious when I play, and I actually bought a number of books. I did not read them all yet. The book of the most basic strategy that I read is that of Francis Montmirel. Im reading The theory of poker by Sklansky. I just stalled on Super / System. I read Seven Card Stud for Advanced Players by Sklansky. And I have a lot of others, which I will read. Im still learning!

You recorded your parts, explores the history of your hands, your gains/losses?

I do not reiew the history of my hands, though I know I should. I started to keep track of my parties but I stopped. Ive never been very good to keep a logbook or other on a regular basis. I know how I won and I lost, but I do not have a formal written. I lost about $ 500 in three months by taking part on Wednesday evening games. Since then I have lost about $ 1,000. When I finished fifth in the tournament I won $ 6,200. I am positive about $ 4,600. The $1,000 that I lost it last week. I participated in big tournaments, but I learned a long series of bad cards. Like what Im not that good!

How did you enter this tournament?

I won first place in a poker satellite with nine other people. Im not even sure why I played in this satellite, since I had never played in a multi-table tournament before. But I am out now and Im addicted to multi-table tournaments.

How many people were there in the tournament and what place you finished?

There were 811 people in the tournament and I finished fifth. By the time I reached the final table, I had 5000 chips. All the others had enormous carpet, 50,000 here, 120,000 there. I received a pair of 3 and I went all-in, telling me that it was now or never burn. Of the ten hands following, I was again twice a pair of 3 and I won every time. My carpets rose from 5,000 to 100,000.

How did you win, and when the money is found on your account? How long it took to remove it? I won $ 6200 or $ 6400, I can not remember too much. I have withdrawn from $ 2000. It happened on my Neteller account in 24 hours, then a week to receive the check.

What have you done with this money?

With half the sum I finished paying my car. With the rest I made various purchases.
